Artwork – Inspiration to a Room Renovation

When designing a space, start with a focal point or inspirational item. It is where the selections for the entire room are going to be pulled and will keep you on track to stay consistent with your style.

For example, we used this piece of artwork as the focal point for this room. Given the contemporary nature of this piece, we selected furniture with the same design style. We also made sure to be consistent with the silver finish that framed the artwork. You will find silver accents in the tables and metal sculpture that is placed between the windows. Colors from our inspiration are also complemented in the artwork hung on the opposite wall. To allow the artwork to “pop”, we chose soft colors for the walls, window treatments and area rug.

Keeping these tips in mind, you will easily design a space that naturally flows creating a welcoming atmosphere.
